There are limited data regarding treatment options for pregnant women with severe COVID-19. A pregnant woman at 22 weeks of gestation was admitted with severe COVID-19 and was treated with interleukin-6 blockade and compassionate-use remdesivir, with subsequent clinical improvement.

ECMO use has been increasing in severe respiratory and/or cardiac failure despite implementation of conventional care. Because the evidence for recovering from COVID-19 with ECMO is extremely limited so far, this article outlines what we can learn from the previous experiences in the treatment of similar severe viral pneumonia cases.

This study was designed to delineate the clinical features of the COVID-19 patients with mechanical ventilation from a national cohort in China.
